What jerry cans will the Jerry Max® adapter kits fit?

Our jerry can adapters are designed to suit jerry cans with a 58mm (wide-mouth) screw thread. This type of can is very popular for storing water in Australia and available from camping and outdoor shops everywhere. Examples of compatible cans include ProQuip® wide mouth 18L and 22L jerry cans, Dune® Water Cube, Willow jerry cans, Bushtracks jerry cans, Icon Plastics water drums and more. *Please note - while the 58mm size cap thread is a very popular size sold across Australia, there are models sold that feature a smaller cap thread which will NOT work with our adapter kits. Please be sure to check what size can you have or intend to use before ordering.

I want to use my own pump with the Jerry Max Adapter?

Our Jerry Max® Adapters are designed to work with a variety of different manual and electric pump styles.

The Jerry Max 58mm Screw Cap is intended for use with hand pumps designed for a 32mm mounting hole diameter. We sell the Companion® brand of pumps but they have also been tested to work with pumps from other manufacturers. *Breha pump attachment nuts will require some modifications to work as the nut is slightly too large to fit inside most jerry cans. As such, you will require a smaller nut, or you can shave down the edges of the nut with a sharp blade (be sure to ask one of the adults to do this for you) in order to allow it to fit inside the jerry can neck.

Electric Pumps: The Jerry Max standard electric pump adapter (Screw Cap and Flexible Upper Cap combo) is designed to work with a host of 'slip-fit' style electric pumps, of the type often used around the world on top of water cooler bottles (like the kind of water bottles delivered to homes or in an office). While many different types of pumps are sold and in theory they are a universal fit, the truth is that some fit better than others. Pumps available for sale here on our site have been tested and confirmed for hassle-free use with our Adapter kits. 

Electric Pumps with Quick Connect edition: If your pump is remotely mounted such as with the Companion Roam Tap, Dometic Recon 360° Faucet, or Dometic GO Hydration Faucet (superceded by Recon 360° model), then the connection to the Jerry Max adapter is simply made via the CPC-style quick connect coupler. Many of these pumps include the male end of the connection with their supplied hose, or a spare male connector is also included in the Jerry Max Quick Connect kit. This valved connector attaches to your pumps 6mm ID hose via the supplied fitting making connection as simple and secure as possible.

Where are your products manufactured?

Our injection molded jerry can adapter kits have been designed and manufactured right here in Australia (in Sydney). We're proud to be able to support Aussie manufacturing and jobs wherever possible.

Some other components used in our kits (e.g. pumps, hose, hardware components) are sourced globally, mostly from Asia, either by us, or by their respective manufacturer/distributor. We'd love for everything to be sourced here in Australia but unfortunately sometimes it's just not possible.
